美味しい牡蠣の代償

土曜日安芸津に牡蠣を買いに行った。
今が旬だ。旬の美味しいものを食べなくてどうする…
むき牡蠣を一袋と、巨大な殻付き牡蠣を１０個買った。とてもお得な値段だった。
むき牡蠣は、レモンで食べたり、酢ガキにしたりした。
殻付きは、オーブンで焼いた。
しめは、牡蠣のポタージュスープだ。
新鮮でぷりぷりしていて、とても美味しかった。
美味しすぎて、写真を撮るのも忘れた。
夢中になりすぎて、牡蠣の殻で手を切った。
切っても流血を抑える為、バンドエイドを貼って食べ続けた。
う〜ん、広島に住んでいてよかった。

The price to pay for delicious oysters

On Saturday, we went to Akitsu to buy fresh oysters.
Oysters are in season now.
We bought a bag of unshelled oysters and 10 big oysters with shells. They were not expensive at all.
We enjoyed some unshelled oysters with lemon, and others with vinegar and soy sauce.
The big oysters were grilled in the oven.
All of them were so fresh and delicious.
I got too excited and cut my finger with an oyster shell.
As they were so good, I kept eating even after cutting my finger.
I'm glad I live in Hiroshima and get to eat delicious oysters.

饅頭事件 パート２

冬休み、母と太宰府天満宮へ行った。
天満宮へは実家から車で一時間もかからない。入試の子供たちの合格を祈りに行くのが、毎年の恒例行事となっている。
行くと必ず梅が枝餅を食べるのも恒例行事だ。
沢山あるお店の中でも、私の好きなお店は「みどりや」。パリパリの皮に自家製の餡。できたては、またまた美味しい。
お持ち帰りで買ったお餅を、母は低いテーブルの上においていた。
餅は一個ずつラップで包んであり、その上に二重包装されていた。
部屋に誰もいない時、鈴ちゃんは少しの隙間からその部屋に忍び込んだ。
大きな包装紙、次の包装紙を破ることなく、まるで人間がしたかのように、開けていた。
そして最後のサランラップと葛藤している時だった。
私は鈴を見つけた。慌てて鈴はテーブルから降りた。
食べてしまったか～。と餅をチェックすると、真ん中のあんこの部分が、かすかに浮上していた。食べたとしても0.001グラムといったところか。
あんなに苦労して綺麗に包装紙を開けたのに、梅が枝餅が食べれなかった鈴ちゃん。
でも、餅が喉につまったら大変だから、見つけてよかった。
器用なようで、不器用で、可愛そうで、可愛い鈴ちゃんだった。

Manju incident part 2

During the winter vacation, my mother and I went to Dazaifu Temmangu.
I go there every winter to pray that my students pass their entrance examination.
We buy ‘Umegaemochi’ every time we go there.
‘Umegaemochi’ is one of my favorite sweets.
There are many ‘Umegaemochi’ shops in Dazaifu.
My favorite one is ‘Midoriya’.
My mother left 20 wrapped umegaemochi on the low table at home.
Each mochi was wrapped and the 20 sweet mochis were wrapped in a big piece of paper.
When no one was in the room, Suzu unwrapped the big wrapping paper without tearing it. (As if a person had unwrapped it.)
She pulled out one mochi and unwrapped the wrapping paper very carefully.
She put it in her mouth.
Right after that, I caught her.
She might have tasted 0.001 gram of anko.
