宅配事件

わざわざ酒屋に行き、重いケースを持って帰るのも面倒になったので、迷った末２００円位高かったけど、ネットで金麦を1ケース購入してみた。
配達が来た時、家には誰もいなかった。
宅配業者はそんな時に限り、勝手に宅配ボックスにビールを入れて帰った。
結局、重いケースを家まで持って帰る事になった。
ビールを運びながら「骨折り損のくたびれ儲け」という言葉が頭をよぎった。

I got sick of going to the liquor store and carrying heavy boxes of beer.
I ordered a box of ‘Kinmugi’ online.
Unfortunately, it came when no one was at home.
So the delivery man left the box in the ‘Takuhai box.’
I ended up carrying the heavy box home.

コンタクトレンズ ｖｓ 眼鏡

ずっと長い間コンタクトレンズを愛用してきた。
最近、眼科での定期健診が面倒になって、眼鏡に変えた。
でも、やっぱりコンタクトの方がいいのかな？と心は揺れていた。
昨日はやや正装したので、一日使い捨てコンタクトにした。
BJの鏡で自分を見ると、顔の細部が鮮やかに見えた。
眼鏡に変更したのは、正解だったかもしれない。

I’d been wearing contacts for many years.
Recently, I got sick of visiting my eye doctor regularly, and decided to switch to glasses.
I still have daily contact lenses and wear them occasionally.
When I wore them yesterday, I realized that I could see my face much more clearly.
I might have made the right decision.
