温泉事件

週末に日帰りで三瓶山へ行った。
そばのミニコースをお昼に食べ、温泉へと向かった。
髪を洗っている時に違和感を覚えた。
コンタクトがない…ずれたか、とれたのか…
暫く見つからず、色々な事が頭の中をめぐった。
その日のドライバーは私だった。
一緒の三人は、既に真昼間からお酒を飲んでいた。
どうやって家へ帰れるのだろう？
花と鈴はお腹をすかせて待っているだろう。
眼鏡を売っていそうなお店はなかった。
ど近眼の私は、裸眼ではとても運転できない。
奈落の底に落ちて行くような気がした。
が、そうこうしているうちに、ずれていたコンタクトは無事、黒目まで戻ってきた。
この上ない安心感が体中をみなぎった。
次回髪を洗うときは、コンタクトがずれないよう、湯量控え目にしようと思う。
その後安心した私達は、おやつに三瓶バーガーを食べて家路に着いた。

Onsen incident

I went to Sanbe-san last weekend.
It was a day trip.
We had Soba first. After lunch, we went to a hot spring.
When I was washing my hair, I felt something wrong.
I thought I had lost my contact lens.
It might have been still in my eye, or in the drain.
For about 5 minutes, I couldn’t find my contact lens.
During that time, I thought of many things.
I was the driver that day. Three others had already drunk alcohol.
How would we get home?
Hana and Suzu would be so hungry if we came home so late.
There were no shops which sold glasses in that town.
Anyway, 5 minutes later I found my contact lens.
I was so relieved.
Next time, I will use less water when I wash my hair so that I won’t lose my contact lens again.
It was a day trip.

酒祭り

土曜日は、とてもはりきっていた。
りえさんがその日ランチに誘ってくれた。
｢酒祭りに行って酔ってしまわないよう、家で美酒鍋を食べよう！｣と彼女は言った。
りえさんの美酒鍋はとても美味しかった。
私達はビールや日本酒を飲み、鍋やつまみを食べ続けた。
かなりいい気分になった私達は、夕方になってやっと立ち上がり、歩いて三分の５０００人の居酒屋の公園へとくりだした。
そこを１０分くらいでくる～っと回ると、今度はラーメン屋さんに入り、またビールを飲んでつまみとラーメンを食べた。
とりあえず、私達の酒祭り第一日目は、酒祭りにあまり参加せずに、しかし存分に楽しんで終了した。

Sake Matsuri

I was going to go to Sake Matsuri on Saturday.
Rie invited me to her condominium for lunch.
She said, ‘Let’s have Bishu Nabe before going to Sake Matsuri so that we won’t get drunk.'
The Bishu Nabe that Rie made was delicious.
We kept eating and drinking.
We ended up leaving for Sake Matsuri in the evening.
All the Sake breweries were closed, so we just spent 10 minutes in the park.

High School Friends

My high school friends from Fukuoka came to visit me last weekend.
We hadn’t seen each other since we graduated from high school.
29 years had passed.
Even though we had totally different lifestyles, it was so nice to see each other.
Speaking in Fukuoka dialect and being with high school friends made me feel comfortable.
However, I was shocked that I hardly remembered any of our friends’ names.

高校時代の同級生

福岡の高校時代の同級生と、卒業以来２９年ぶりに再会した。
全く違う人生を送ってきた私達だが、久々に会い、広島の地で博多弁を話し、とても懐かしく心暖まる、楽しい週末を送った。
１つ驚いたことは、私は高校時代の友人の名前を殆ど覚えていなかった。
そんな私にあきれた同級生は｢私のことは覚えとる？｣と聞いてきた。
いくらなんでも、広島まで訪ねてきてくれたバンド仲間は覚えている。
彼女はピアノが上手だった。今ではピアノの先生だ。
あれから同級生に刺激されたのと、記憶力活性化の為、また本格的に楽器演奏を始めようか、と思った。思いながらも、既に２週間が経過した。
