模範となる行動

朝、いつものように鈴の散歩に出かけた。
鈴は道端でうんちをした。
いつものように、鈴のお散歩バッグを開けた。いつも入っているはずの、ビニール袋もティッシュペーパーもない。
私は途方に暮れ、その場に暫く立ちつくした。
犬のうんちも、たばこの吸い殻も、道に捨てたままにしているのを見ると不快になる。
沢山の子ども達が私の学校へ来る。
私は子ども達の、良いお手本である必要がある！
私は鈴と一緒に近くの公園めがけて猛ダッシュをした。
そこのトイレでトイレットペーパーを少し頂き、またまた猛ダッシュでうんちをした場所まで戻った。
誰も踏んでいない事を確認し、無事うんちを拾い、また公園まで戻り、トイレに流した。
公園には、見たことのない不審者がベンチに座っていた。
一部始終を見ていたものと思われる。
しかし彼以上に、その時の私の方が狂喜じみていて、不審だった事は間違いない。

I was walking Suzu as usual one morning.
That morning, Suzu pooed on the road.
I opened Suzu’s poo bag to pick it up.
There was neither a plastic bag nor any toilet paper in it.
I stood there for a minute thinking what to do.
I hate seeing poo or cigarette butts on the street.
Many children come to my school.
I should be a role model for them.
I ran to the park with Suzu, got some toilet paper, and ran back to pick up the poo.
After that, we ran back to the park and flushed it into the toilet.
There was a creepy man sitting on a bench in the park watching the whole event.
However, I think I looked crazy and creepier than he did at that time.

無償の愛

今年も面谷ビルに、つばめのカップルがやってきた。
毎日、雛に会うのを楽しみに出勤している。
巣の下には大きな｢う○○｣ボックスが置いてある。
四匹の雛は日ごとに育っていっている。
私は｢かわいいな～｣と思って眺めているだけなのに、親鳥は｢キ～｣と私を睨みつける。
｢子どもに手を出すな～｣と聞こえてくるようだ。
｢あのクチバシに突かれたら痛いだろうな～｣とあんな小さな鳥に、一瞬恐怖を感じるのだった。

A couple of swallows have made a nest at the entrance of Omotani building again this year.
I look forward to coming to work and seeing them every day.
There is a special dropping box right under the nest.
There are four baby swallows in the nest.
They grow day by day.
I just look at them for a while with admiration.
However, the parents stare at me.
I can hear them saying,’ Stay away from our children.’
If they pecked me with their beak, it would be so painful.

毎日１０～２０分ではあるが、自宅でWii Fitのヨガをしていた。
友人たちは、そんな私の事を｢ｘｘの1つ覚え｣と、よく呼んでいた。
しかしそのWiiは、突然壊れた。
私は古い友人に別れをつげらたような気持ちになり、寂しくなった。
さよなら Wii…

I have been doing ‘Wii Fit Yoga & Training’ for 10~20 minutes almost every day for 7 years.
My friend said I was a 'one-trick pony.’
However, my Wii Fit suddenly broke.

昨日はBJクラブの記念日だった。
早いものでBJを始めて１８年が過ぎた。１８年前といえば、私の若い教え子たちが生まれる前のことだ。
皆に感謝しながら、まだ木曜日だったけど、スパークリングワインを｢パ～ン｣と開けた。

It was B.J.Club’s 18th anniversary yesterday.
Time flies. Most of my young students were not even born when I started B.J.Club.
I opened a bottle of sparkling wine to celebrate the anniversary.
