初めての就職先、岩田屋百貨店の同僚と30年ぶりの再会！
皆、昔のまま温かだった。なんだか故郷に戻りたくなった。
集ったお店は、ふじけん大名店。リーゾナブルな料金に、新鮮なお魚が美味しかった。

女医さんで、ボサノバ歌手。凄い人だ。
美しい歌声に心洗われた。

真夏の夜の悪夢

昨夜もとても蒸し暑かった。
窓とドアを開け、扇風機をつけて眠りについた。

夜中に暑くて目が覚めた。
「最初からつけておけば良かった」と思いながらエアコンをつけ、窓とドアを閉めた。
後に寒くなるといけないので、扇風機は消した。
そしてまた眠りに落ちた。

今度は汗だくになって目が覚めた。喉はカラカラだ。
「なんで？」見上げると、そこには、ピクリとも動いていないエアコンがあった。
そう、つけたつもりだったが、実際にはついていなかった。
熱帯夜の中、閉め切った部屋で扇風機さえもつけずに寝ていたのだ。

慌ててエアコンをつけ、ついた事を目で確認した直後、私は深い眠りに落ちた。

熱中症注意！他人事ではない出来事だった。

Trapped

It was very hot and humid last night.
I had the windows and door open, and the fan was running when I went to bed.

In the middle of the night, I woke up feeling so hot.
I turned on the air-conditioner and closed the windows and the door.
I turned off the fan as I didn’t want to feel cold afterwards.
I fell asleep again.

After a while, I woke up sweating and feeling extremely hot and thirsty.
I looked at the air-conditioner and found out it wasn’t working.
I thought I had turned on the air-conditioner but actually I hadn't.
That meant I had been sleeping in a bedroom which was just like a sauna.

I turned on the air-conditioner and slept like a log until next morning.
