A discrepancy

One morning, I received a phone call.
It was from a credit card company.
The woman asked me if I ate at xxxxx in Sogo and used my credit card.
The answer was ‘Yes’.
She said the restaurant had charged me 110,000 yen instead of 11,000 yen.
I checked the credit card receipt.
I had signed the bill for 110,000 yen!
I am usually careful when I sign bills abroad.
This is Japan, so I didn’t think anyone would make that kind of mistake.
Luckily, the restaurant found out the mistake and corrected the amount.
Since then, I‘ve been very careful when I sign bills.
