Hello. Let me introduce myself. I’m Yumi Tanaka. My friends call me Yumi-chan. I like my nickname because it’s cute.  or I don’t like my nickname because it’s boring. I’m eleven years old. My birthday is October 4th. I’m an elementary school student. I go to Hachihonmatsu Elementary School. I’m in the fifth grade. There are 30 people in my class. My teacher’s name is Mr. Sasaki. I like him because he’s interesting.  or I don’t like him because he’s strict.   My best subject is math. Doing sums is fun for me. My worst subject is Japanese. I don’t like memorizing kanji. I go to school on foot. It takes about ten minutes from my house to school. My favorite place in my school is the gym. I like it because I can play dodgeball there. My hobby is playing tennis. I play tennis every weekend with my friends. When I’m at home, I like to watch TV. My favorite programs are dramas. When I grow up, I want to be a Shinkansen driver.
